The 2019 Swinging with the Stars gala raised more money than ever before for the Central Okanagan Hospice Association.
The Jane Hoffman/Sahay team raised an incredible $84,476 this year –a new record!
This evening raised an awe-inspiring $464,439 for COHA.
We’re so proud to have been a part of this important event. Your generosity has helped provide crucial services to terminally ill patients and their families. With community support, COHA is able to care for Okanagan residents in their final moments, and to counsel and console their loved ones through an emotionally overwhelming situation. Thank you for helping the Jane Hoffman Realty continue to sponsor this program.
The evening was about fundraising and fun! Despite an unexpected setback (Jane’s incredible dance partner, Reg Sahay, suffered a serious injury, and was unable to grace the dance floor this year), Jane’s determination won out. An excellent new partner very nimbly stepped in at the last minute, and the pair did a magnificent turn across the boards. Nothing can stop our inimitable leader when she is passionate about a cause!
The other teams were so light on their feet! Who knew that we had so many Freds and Gingers hiding amongst Kelowna’s REALTORS®, medical & legal professionals, law enforcement officials, winemakers, business owners, and community service providers? It was a pleasure to watch each of the dancers, and to see just how hard they worked to make this evening a success.
What a phenomenal result! It proves what Jane and her team already know –our Okanagan community is amazing, and grows stronger when we support one another. Jane’s toes are already tapping in anticipation of next year’s swinging event. We hope you’ll join us in 2020!

Making difficult situations better for everyone.
As the Standing Ovation Title Sponsor, the 11th annual Swinging With the Stars evening is a cause close to our hearts.
The Central Okanagan Hospice Association is committed to providing our region’s residents with compassionate, first-rate palliative care. Serving seriously ill, chronically ill, and end-of-life patients and their loved ones, the hospice offers support services and comfort at no cost.
Driven by the idea that no one should suffer alone, COHA is an essential program here in the Okanagan, and one that operates with the aid of generous community donations. Help Jane Hoffman in her efforts to raise money for this very worthwhile institution.
This year, Jane and her partner, Reg Sahay, have again been invited onto the dance floor! They’ve spent months preparing: learning new choreography, fundraising, and sharing the message of COHA’s exceptional programming.
Since 2009, Swinging with the Stars has raised more than $1.6 million to support hospice services and programming. This year, Jane and Reg aim to bring in $100,000 in team donations! With your participation, they can reach –and even exceed– this goal.

Swinging with the Stars is one of the year’s most highly-anticipated celebrations. Guests will enjoy a wine reception with award-winning Okanagan wines, an elegant and delicious 3-course menu, the lively dance competition, and then a chance to take a spin (or several) on the dance floor, themselves.
