It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas … Beautiful Kelowna has been blanketed with gorgeous white snow. Homes are lit up for the Holidays. There’s a hustle and bustle unique to the holiday season.
Christmas offers a wonderful opportunity to decorate your home and get in the festive spirit.
During the holiday season, many of our clients will ask us how to decorate their home for Christmas when it’s for sale.
We’ve put together some tips to help as you decorate for Christmas. And, as a special treat, both photographs showcase Jane’s own home and festive decorations.
Holiday Decorating Tips for Home Sellers
- Sprinkle subtle touches of Christmas throughout your home. A vase of pine cones or cranberries can add an
element of festivity to your table or mantle.
- Decorate with colours that match your home’s palette. For a rich earthy colour-scheme, try cranberry, gold and forest green. For a more light, cottage-chic interior, choose icy blue and silver decorations.
- Use your decorations to accentuate your home’s best features. Display a poinsettia in the dining room or showcase the mantle or window ledge by placing a menorah, wreath, or a few favourites from your nutcracker collection.
- Keep the size of your space in mind as you decorate. You don’t need to skip the tree, but do ensure it doesn’t overpower your room or block your spectacular view.
