What’s new in Kelowna’s real estate market? A lot actually…
Just this week, the City of Kelowna approved a new process for legalizing suites in Kelowna… If the proposal is adopted, interested home owners may not have to apply for rezoning of their property, the cost to do so could be decreased and the timeline for approval could be shortened! Seems very progressive and we are excited to have a Mayor and council who are supporting positive changes for Kelowna’s home owners. Just a reminder…Carrriage homes are not included in this proposal and are still subject to their own approval process.
Jane Hoffman Realty has been as busy as every these days… listing new properties and ordering SOLD signs around the community. In the last 30 days, we have sold 12 of our MLS(R) listings and helped find 12 excited buyers their dream home. What’s selling?… Well, that’s a tough one, to be honest. Sales are still sluggish compared to years passed but it seems that we are seeing renewed activity in properties listed around and above the $1Million mark – this segment of the market was slow for a long time and it’s great to see this activityagain. Lakeshore is still a bit quiet but we did sell the property on the lake at 2600 Dubbin Road – what a stunning property!
What are our strategies these days? We are always re-assessing our marketing initiatives and are excited to say that one of our gorgeous lakeshore properties will be gracing the cover of Homes and Land Magazine in July. Kelowna’s very own ICON Magazine will be featuring a spectacular property at Gallagher’s Canyon this summer and Castanet.net will have some of Jane’s Luxury Homes featured on castanet.net.
We are also busy ordering new spring photos for our listings so that each property showcases at its best on our website and in our print ads. Like they say, a Picture’s Worth a Thousand Words!
