This week, we’re learning about REALTOR® Tyler Bouck.
What’s your idea of the perfect day?
We are so fortunate to live in one of the most beautiful places in all of Canada. My perfect day would start with a mountain bike with my boys. To come home for breakfast as a family and then head out on the boat touring the lake all day. The day would finish off with a barbeque at home on the deck and drinks by the fire table. Of course, this would also include our three boys having their best behaviour all day too!
What is your favourite part of your job?
I love working with all different people. A lot of this job is working with friends and family who trust that you will always have their best interests at the forefront. It’s always a pleasure to work with and for these people. I do think my favorite part of being a REALTOR® is meeting strangers, and over the process of either buying or selling becoming friends and knowing each other on a more personal level. To me that is the my most favorite part of the job.
Who is your hero?
I have been fortunate to have great influences in my life. My dad was the best! He was a big 6’4” gentle giant who was patient and understanding and really showed me what being a father is all about. Unfortunately, he passed away six years ago, and I miss him every day. My older brother, Travis, took over the family farm back in Camrose, Alberta after my father’s passing, and he has many of the same characteristics as my dad. He is also one of the smartest and hardest-working people I know, and someone I can always lean on for advice. He is a great person to look up to.
What’s your most significant current challenge?
Dealing with this new way of life that COVID 19 has presented to each of us. I find it challenging from a professional and personal perspective. Everyone is in the same boat, so there isn’t any point complaining. It’s trying to find the positives and learning to adapt to provide value and service in this challenging time. I also think it’s a great reset to find what is important and what is really needed. I feel fortunate that my family is healthy, and we get all this extra quality time together right now.
What makes you laugh out loud?
My 5-year-old son, Gus, is full of life and never runs out of energy. Being the youngest of three boys, his vocabulary may be a bit more advanced and he is always saying something that make all of us laugh. I would say all the kids have their moments that make me laugh out loud, but it seems that Gus has earned himself the title as the family clown.
