We have a phenomenal team at Jane Hoffman Realty.

Each agent and member of our staff brings a distinctive personality to the mix. We’d like you to get to know us a little bit better!

We’ve asked everyone to answer some questions that will give us a little insight into who they really are.

This week, we’re learning about our fun-loving REALTOR®, Dean Simonelli:

The best advice from your mom?

Many years back, I quit a very good job at RBC to take a job abroad. Once there, I realized that I may have made the biggest mistake of my life. I called home, some 3000 miles and 4 time zones away. My mom’s advice was, “There is no sense in rushing home, because you’ve quit your job and sold all your stuff. Might as well try to make the best of it, and in 2 weeks, if you find you’re still completely miserable, then come home.”

I lasted 3 years employed abroad before returning to Canada and loved it.

What is one goal you’d like to accomplish during your lifetime?

I’ve visited about 48 countries in the past, yet there are a few more on my bucket list I’d like to visit to experience their respective diverse cultures, no matter how vastly different from ours they may be. We often overlook the fact that there is far more out there to experience on this planet than the small bubbles we generally tend to live in.

How many homes did you sell last year?

I think about 46, but who’s counting?

How long have you been in real estate?

A total of 18 years.

How has the industry (locally, and in general) changed over the course of your career?

In two words, “Modern technology”. More locally, the population of Kelowna seems to have exploded since I started in the business back in 1986. I think the con-sense is out, Kelowna is no longer Canada’s best-kept secret!

We can’t wait to showcase what our other team members have to share. Stay tuned to find out more about each member of the Jane Hoffman Realty.
