What is the last book you read?
Reading has always been a big part of my life. When I was 10 years old, a friend of my father’s shared with me his philosophy, “Read every night before you go to bed”, and I did take his advice to heart. I have several books on the go at all times. Typically, autobiographies with an historical element, or travel flair are what I love best. Oh yes, and cookbooks. Reading takes me out of my world and grounds me.
Favorite Okanagan restaurant?
Without a doubt, La Bussola! With my Italian heritage, this restaurant is by far my favourite. We are so fortunate in Kelowna to have such authentic Italian cuisine, along with the warmth and caring atmosphere of the family owners, Franco, Lauretta, and Luigi.
Career highlight?
Connecting with both buyers and sellers of all age groups, whether it be first-time home buyers or those retiring and/or relocating to Kelowna. There is great satisfaction in the search process of real estate options, and ultimately achieving their goals.
How has the industry changed over the course of your career?
Kelowna is experiencing exponential growth! So many of us in Kelowna know the positive aspects of living here. Sharing in the tremendous changes happening in this fabulous city and the sunny Okanagan Valley is a privilege.
Describe your dream vacation.
The energy of travel lives with me. A perfect vacation is always with family and good friends. Creating cherished memories over the years in Maui has been a highlight. Australia is a destination that I visit yearly, as my daughter, granddaughters, and family live in the Melbourne area. It may seem odd, but my love of reading goes hand-in-hand with the long 17 hour flights to “ Oz”, giving me precious uninterrupted reading time in the sky. Flights and travel time are never long enough for me!
